Multiple cooperation proposals
At the meeting, Chairman of FPT Group - Mr. Truong Gia Binh - expressed his admiration for Hue’s development strategy in science, technology, and innovation.
Mr. Binh affirmed that FPT is ready to support Hue in key areas such as building digital infrastructure and smart cities, training high-tech human resources, developing digital transformation solutions, and fostering cooperation with major technology organizations domestically and internationally. The ultimate goal is to establish Hue as a digital technology hub for Central Vietnam and the nation.
According to the proposed digital transformation partnership with Hue, FPT will focus on transforming governance methods, improving efficiency and transparency, providing one-level public services, and fostering an economy based on technology, data, and innovation, as well as building an intelligent society and improving quality of life.
FPT will assist Hue in formulating a digital transformation plan for the 2026-2030 period in alignment with the resolutions issued by the City Party Committee. This includes concretizing strategic plans into annual tasks and projects, organizing training programs to raise awareness about digital transformation, and equipping leaders at all levels with digital leadership skills, including cybersecurity awareness. FPT will also help Hue perfect a comprehensive data infrastructure, shared data repositories, citizen and organizational databases, digitalization and data extraction platforms, data analysis and mining, multi-dimensional image monitoring and analysis, etc.

Regarding digital data, FPT will support Hue in building a centralized database, digital data services, digital replicas, and sector-specific data systems.
For e-government, FPT plans to develop systems for monitoring resolutions, key directives, and prioritized tasks; modelling predictions, and managing city document and governance platform. A key focus will be digital transformation work within Party organizations and business support programs…In addition, the digital society also aims to create an integrated platform to provide and promote interactive services between citizens, organizations, and the government; and to develop healthcare and community health care.
Creating a breakthrough platform in the digital era
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, affirmed that in its development journey, Hue must undergo a strong transformation - not only in transportation and service infrastructure but also in management methods and economic development. Digital transformation will be the key to unlocking new opportunities, driving growth, and ensuring Hue’s sustainable development in the new era.

City leaders also believe that despite its many advantages, Hue must leverage collaborations with leading technology enterprises like FPT to accelerate this process.
“Hue has the potential to become a model smart city. However, to achieve this, we need the collective efforts of major enterprises with strong implementation capabilities and practical experience.”
Chairman Phuong also acknowledged that despite its strengths, Hue's digital transformation journey still faces many challenges. Notably, digital infrastructure needs to be comprehensively upgraded to meet growing demands; technology workforce training must be intensified; and public awareness of digital transformation must be enhanced.
“We expect that with the strong commitment of the government and support from FPT, Hue will become a model for smart cities and sustainable development”, Chairman Phương shared.

Secretary Le Truong Luu highlighted that Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in scientific and technological development, innovation, and national digital transformation has emphasized the critical role of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in economic and social development, enhancing national competitiveness, and propelling the country forward in the digital age.
Accordingly, Hue City has swiftly introduced an action plan setting ambitious goals for 2030. These include: ranking among the top five centrally-governed provinces and municipalities in Vietnam in terms of scientific and technological capabilities and innovation; placing in the top 10 nationwide in the Provincial Innovation Index (PII); maintaining a top-five position in the national digital transformation index; successfully developing a smart city that is seamlessly connected to the national smart city network, etc…
Secretary Le Truong Luu expressed his hope that cooperation with FPT Group would help Hue achieve these strategic goals outlined in Resolution 57. Through these efforts, Hue aims to become one of the leading localities in science, technology, and innovation, meeting the demands of the digital era.
