According to Dr. Cung Trong Cuong, Director of the Provincial Development Research Institute, currently, Thua Thien Hue in particular and the whole country, in general, are promoting the recovery process after the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, it is important to conduct the digital transformation in order to promote the recovery of socio-economic development, exploit new growth motives on the basis of improving productivity, effectiveness, quality and economic competitiveness, creating a foundation for the development of the digital economy and digital society.

This requires business leaders and specialized departments to be determined and proactive in understanding and raising awareness, thereby properly understanding and effectively implementing the digital transformation.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duong Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communication, via catching the reality in enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, it is necessary to proactively identify and build management and operation models in the digital environment. Particularly, it is necessary to assess the level of readiness and data for the digital transformation and find out the issues that need supplementing and completing for building a data platform suitable for enterprises so that they can operate and exploit technology infrastructure and databases effectively.
With the recent impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, consumers' preferences for shopping and service experiences have changed a lot. This requires that local businesses need to be proactive to have suitable plans for business, human resource management, and information technology application in production - business and marketing processes, etc., to adapt to the situation. In particular, businesses should consider online sales channels, connecting appropriate goods distribution and supply units.
