The project has a total investment capital of over 25,655 billion VND and covers an area of about 165 hectares, and is divided into 3 phases. Its purpose is to build up a modern automobile manufacturing hub, integrating both engine production and supporting components manufacturing. It is known that the first phase is already operational with a passenger bus factory with a capacity of 6,800 buses/year. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the company will run new facilities for truck manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and engine production.
As of the end of June 2025, Kim Long Motor Hue produced and delivered 2,100 passenger buses, contributing over 410 billion VND to the budget and creating jobs for over 3,100 workers. The company aims to produce 4,000 new buses and contribute another 1,200 billion to the budget in the last 6 months of the year.
In the framework of the working meeting, the business requested to expand development space, at the same time constructing new industrial zones, worker housing, and an urban area within Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone, etc.

Highly appreciating the efforts of Kim Long Motor, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong stated that this is one of the key industrial projects with strategic significance for the city’s process of industrialization and modernization.
“Kim Long Motor Hue is not merely a manufacturing project, but a strategic drive for local economic growth. It contributes to creating a sustainable value-added chain, attracting supporting industries, and shaping a new growth engine for Hue City”, Mr. Phuong emphasized.
He also affirmed that Hue City authorities will continue to accompany and make maximum support for the business to expand investment and reach long-term development in the locality.
Regarding the business’s proposals, the Chairman of the City People’s Committee assigned relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities to coordinate and address the issues promptly, ensuring the project’s investment progress and effectiveness.
