Textile industry gets early start on 2026 orders

Present at the job fair very early, many textile businesses both recruited directly and distributed flyers to spread recruitment needs. Among them, Vinatex International Joint Stock Company under PPJ Group, located in Phu Da Industrial Park, attracted attention with plans to recruit 400 workers for 2026, with over 300 positions for direct garment workers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, representative of the company’s Human Resources Department, said that the company’s export orders are abundant. Production plans are fully booked until July 2026, forcing the company to prepare its workforce early to maintain operational momentum.

As for Ms. Huyen, the garment industry faces significant deadline pressure. Therefore, recruiting nearly a year in advance gives the company time for training and avoids staff shortages during the production line opening period. Income at her company ranges from 6-10 million VND/month. However, thanks to the company’s order stability and income growth opportunities, it has been able to retain workers.

Currently, recruitment demand from textile businesses in the city continues to increase strongly. Scavi Hue Company has announced its recruitment needs for over 2,000 positions, including 1,500 skilled and probationary garment workers and 500 apprentice garment workers.

To attract workers in an increasingly competitive context, the company offers many preferential policies such as an income of 5.5-25 million VND/month, shuttle service or fuel support, housing for relocated employees, preschool tuition for workers’ children, and accompanying allowances.

In addition to these two companies, many garment companies such as Hanesbrands Vietnam Hue Co., Ltd., HUAJING Garment Co., Ltd. (Vietnam)... have also announced large recruitment needs, showing that textiles remains the leading sector in terms of number of jobs in Hue.

Service, tourism and technology recruit selectively

In contrast to the manufacturing sector, the service, tourism, and technology sector tends toward careful selection. This sector requires a good professional attitude, soft skills, and quick adaptability.

Ms. Pham Hong Hanh, Head of Administration-Human Resources at A Dong Tourism and Trade Co., Ltd. said that the company prioritizes candidates with professional demeanor and a desire for long-term commitment. Positions for kitchen personnel, reception, or accounting earn about 10 million VND/month, but what the company cares more about is still attitude and willingness to learn.

Technology companies also attracted attention at the fair. Among them, FPT Telecom JSC is recruiting 21 positions in sales, engineering, and marketing with an income of 7-35 million VND/month, to support its goal of local market share expansion.

The automotive trade sector also recorded positive personnel fluctuations. Notably, PGS Hue Investment JSC is expanding its recruitment of management and technical teams, showing that the job market in Hue is seeing more occupational groups requiring higher qualifications than before.

At the same time, opportunities to work abroad continue to attract many young workers. Hue City Employment Service Center is recruiting 120 seasonal workers to work in the Federal Republic of Germany with an income of 48-51 million VND/month. For many workers, this is an opportunity to earn income and gain experience in an international work environment before returning home to build their careers.

Since the beginning of 2025, 15,964 people in the city have been employed, of whom over 2,000 people went to work abroad under contracts. These figures show that employment opportunities are expanding in both quantity and quality.

Mr. Le Xuan Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, affirmed that job fairs provide workers with opportunities to access more robust recruitment data, especially when Hue City connects with provinces/city of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Da Nang, and Quang Ngai. This helps businesses expand recruitment sources, and workers have more suitable job choices.

This year, the fair also marks the application of the national employment exchange platform. Mr. Nguyen Van An, Deputy Director of the National Center for Employment Services, said the platform uses big data to match candidate profiles with business needs, making it easier for workers to find jobs.
