13 products win the Handicraft Product Design Contest

HNN.VN - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the results of the Handicraft Product Design Contest 2020, which is organized by the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade. Accordingly, there are 13 products winning the prizes.

The contest, which was launched in May 2020, has attracted 47 establishments, groups, and individuals to submit their applications with 209 designs/products, including the group of carpentry, bone and nacre carving; stone carving, lacquerware; crockery; and other products made of wood; the group of embroidery, weaving, knitting and sewing; the group of copper casting, fine art jewelry, porcelain enamel; products made of metal and bamboo, bamboo knitting, conical hats, kites, paper flowers, and products with materials from rattan, bamboo, paper, and leaves.

Through two rounds of preliminary and final, there are 56 designs/products and design/product sets entered the final round; with 13 products, product sets have won the prizes, including one First prize, two Second prizes, three Third prizes, and seven Consolation prizes.

Among them, the Long Phung porcelain enamel dish set (decorated with dragons and phoenixes) by the group of creators Do Huu Triet - Tran Nam Long - Nguyen Quoc Hieu wins the First prize; the two Second prizes belonged to the unique Hue souvenir set “Binh phong" (the front screen) by the creator Pham Dang Nhat Thai, at 26 Vo Thi Sau Street, and Hue Ao Dai inspired by the decorative sculpture art in Hue architecture by Viet Bao QB One Member Co. Ltd.; three Third prizes were awarded to the 3D paper model of Hue Noon Gate by the creator Le Ngoc Tuan Anh, the household tray and sheet set on "Connecting the quintessence of Hue craft villages" by the group of creators Nguyen Van Du and Nguyen Thi Thanh Tra, and Hue kite lamp set by the creator Nguyen Van Hoang.

The ceremony to award and honor the winners is expected to take place at the end of December.
