Ao dai show of Hue designers

HNN.VN - Taking place in the framework of Ao dai Festival 2020, the fashion – art program “Hue – the Capital of Ao dai” held by the Hue Sewing – Embroidery – Fashion Association on the night of December 19 honored the talents of Hue artisans and Ao dai designers.

The collection “Hue women and Ao dai” of Viet Bao, the designer, is performed by Hue women

The collection introduced to the viewers the collections designed by the Hue people. Viewers could enjoy the noble look of Nhat Binh dresses and five-panel Ao dai of the designer Quang Hoa with the theme of “Origin”; the elegant and luxurious designs in the collection “The Flow” of the designer Ella Phan; as well as the meticulousness of ao dai with embroidered handmade patterns on silk in the collection “Spirit” of the designer Tran Thien Khanh; the elegance and snootiness in the collection “Calling the old dreams” of the designer Doan Trang, or the intimacy towards the popularity in the collection “Hue women and ao dai” of the designer Viet Bao, etc.

The program also honored traditional handicraft products as beauty accessories accompanying with Ao dai such as conical hats, Pho Trach bags, lotus conical hats, kim khanh, kim boi (types of medal), etc.

The program was an art playground for Hue artisans and designers to show their talent of creativity, introducing to the public the latest collections. This was also an occasion for Hue designers to connect closely to each other, share experiences, support each other in nurturing passion, and develop career.

Dr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports emphasized that as a land gathering a great number of skillful Ao dai sewing designers and artisans, Hue has created the delicate, special, and diversified Ao dai. Hue Ao Dai can exist and develop as it is today; it is impossible not to mention the merits of Ao dai sewing artisans, who have quietly and patiently preserved and transmitted the craft.

Over the years, Hue designers have continued to preserve the value of traditional Ao dai, together with being incessantly creative to convey the messages as well as the noble human values through Hue Ao dai; hence, promoting the beauty of Hue Ao dai, Hue cultural identity in fashion, not only domestically but also internationally.
