Specifically, hotel bookings for the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday (February 14-22, 2026, corresponding to the 27th day of the 12th lunar December through the 6th day of the Lunar January of the year of Binh Ngo) are estimated at around 110,000 arrivals, up 53% from 2025. Average occupancy is projected at 78%, with tourism revenue estimated at VND 1.05 trillion.

During the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, occupancy is projected to reach the peak on the third day of Tet (February 19, 2026) at 99%, followed by the fourth day (February 20) at 96%; and the second day (February 18) at 93%. Occupancy on the remaining days is expected to range from 61% to 83%.

To ensure services for tourists during the Tet holiday, the Department of Tourism has issued directives to local tourism businesses to implement multiple measures, including organizing Lunar New Year activities that are festive, healthy, safe and economical; strictly enforcing security and safety measures for visitors; strengthening fire prevention and control as well as winter-spring disease prevention; preventing social ills such as drug use, prostitution and gambling at facilities; ensuring adequate staffing, infrastructure, food supplies and essential conditions to serve tourists; and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
