Vovinam - or Viet Vo Dao, is a traditional Vietnamese martial art that embodies the nation’s cultural identity, reflecting the martial spirit, indomitable will, patriotism, and aspiration for advancement of the Vietnamese people.

Including Vovinam in the City Sports Games competition program not only promotes physical fitness movement but also plays a crucial role in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, while fostering moral education, character development, and healthy lifestyles among the younger generation.

“Vovinam has early been identified as a key and strong discipline of the city’s sports sector. The sport is currently receiving focused investment and development to select outstanding athletes for upcoming national sporting events, the National Phu Dong Games, as well as regional and international tournaments,” said Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan, Director of the City Sports Center.

The tournament will end on December 21.
