This is the second international flight from South Korea to Phu Bai International Airport, following the first flight that was successfully organized from August 1 - 4, 2023, and is the first international flight to arrive at the airport in 2024.

The flight is operated in the form of charter flight by the modern A321 aircraft with a maximum capacity of up to 230 seats. The passengers from South Korea, on the flight landing at Phu Bai International Airport, were warmly welcomed and given gifts imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity as well as Hue Ancient Capital, and enjoyed a unicorn - lion - dragon dance performance amid a joyful atmosphere at the beginning of the new year.
On the flight from Incheon to Hue, there was a group of 226 senior managers and officers of the KX Group (South Korea), including the Chairman of the Group and a number of members from its Board of Directors. The Group's decision, which is to choose the Laguna Lang Co Complex and the Cultural Heritage Area in Thua Thien Hue as a venue for the year-end event and New Year's meeting of the Group's leaders and employees under the MICE tourism model (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions, events combined with experiential tourism), shows not only the attention and accompany to local tourism development, but also the desire to cooperate and invest in large-scale tourism projects in Thua Thien Hue.
On the other hand, this Group wants to coordinate with the province to organize a number of more charter flights carrying delegations of staff and employees of the unit as well as other partners, flying directly from Incheon Airport to Phu Bai International Airport to continue activities of the MICE tourism, participate in activity programs within Hue Festival 2024, and attend international conferences and seminars held in Hue, so as to increase the attention of South Korean visitors and people to Thua Thien Hue; and at the same time bringing positive impact on local socio-economic development.

The South Korean group's 4-day and 3-night visit and survey to Hue Ancient Capital promises to bring unique experiences and deep impressions of this land. The group visit famous destinations, such as Emperor Minh Mang's tomb, Emperor Khai Dinh's tomb, Thien Mu pagoda, An Dinh Palace, and Le Ba Dang Memory space, etc., and exploring the panorama of Hue City by convertible double decker bus. Previously, a flight had departed from Phu Bai International Airport to Incheon Airport (South Korea) at 00:30 on January 10, 2024, carrying a group of 177 visitors from Thua Thien Hue and neighboring localities. The group will begin the tour to explore the land of Kim Chi in a 4-day and 3-night journey, bringing new and unique experiences.
