Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu was accompanied by leaders of the Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Office of the Provincial Party Committee.

At the reception, H.E. Yakabe Yoshinori wished that Japan and Thua Thien Hue Province would further strengthen the cooperation in the fields of culture, and security and defense; and organize the cultural exchange marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu highly appreciated the Japan's cooperation with Thua Thien Hue Province over the recent time, especially in connecting and supporting the province in various fields. Thua Thien Hue Province also signed cooperation agreements with Japanese provinces and cities; and organized many cultural exchange activities. Many major Japanese projects have been invested in the province; and the labor export to Japan is always focused. However, the number of provincial citizens studying and working in Japan is still not so big.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu wished that Japan and Thua Thien Hue Province would promote further cooperation in economy and culture in the coming time; attracting and calling for investment; supporting the provincial citizens to study and work in Japan; supporting in overcoming natural disasters, storms and floods; and building experts in the field of information technology.
