Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted becomes a member of the LabelFrancÉducation Network (France)

HNN.VN - After undergoing a rigorous evaluation and quality assessment process, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted (Quoc Hoc) has officially joined the LabelFrancÉducation network (France), which includes 600 schools worldwide, several of which are in Vietnam.

 Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted begins its 2024-2025 school year.

The LabelFrancÉducation distinction is awarded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to schools worldwide that provide high-quality French language instruction, as well as other subjects taught in French.

LabelFrancÉducation opens up many opportunities. Quoc Hoc High School will be able to establish connections and collaborations with other schools in the LabelFrancÉducation system all over the world, and participate in high-quality training programs for teachers and administrators. It will also gain access to teaching materials and educational resources from the French Institute, the Agency for French Education Abroad, the Centre International d'Études Pédagogiques (CIEP), and TV5 Monde. Students will have the chance to participate in various activities and competitions organized exclusively for students in the LabelFrancÉducation network.

It is known that the conditions for being recognized with the LabelFrancÉducation distinction include: they must teach at least one subject other than French in French. At least 20% of total weekly teaching hours dedicated to French language and other subjects taught in French. At least one French teacher must hold a master’s degree. The French proficiency level of teachers teaching French or other subjects in French must be at least B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or equivalent. They may also be certified as examiners for the DELF-DALF exams. Schools must also have a plan to provide pedagogical training for French teachers and teachers of other subjects taught in French, register students for the DELF and DALF exams, and maintain a French-language space on campus.

Having met these conditions, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted has now joined the global network of 600 schools, including many recognized institutions in Vietnam.

The LabelFrancÉducation distinction is valid for a maximum of three years, after which schools may apply for renewal. The official award ceremony will be organized by the French Embassy in Vietnam and will take place in Hue in the coming time.
