IBM Group interested in the provincial information technology human resources

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho presented a souvenir to Mr. Patrick O. Curry

At the meeting, Mr. Patrick O. Curry shared his distinct impression after investigating and working at some departments and universities in Hue. The purpose of this working session was to clarify that Hue's human resources were able to meet the demand of the business development in the field of information technology (IT). Therefore, the delegation would focus on working with Phu Xuan University, Hue University and Hue Industrial College.

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho gave an overview about the potentials and strengths of Thua Thien Hue province, including IT. He emphasized that the province had a large IT workforce, a diverse system of universities, colleges and junior colleges, which annually train numerous employees for the province, the Central region and the country as a whole. The province has paid close attention to developing IT field, putting IT applications into administrative reform and especially deploying the program of smart city ...

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho hoped that after the process of investigating and working with departments, universities, colleges in the province and related industries, IBM would call for greater cooperation with Thua Thien Hue in the field of IT; at the same time, he hoped that there would be leading US technology organizations and enterprises coming to Hue in the near future. The provincial leadership would direct the relevant companies to improve better conditions for IBM's units and businesses to operate in Hue.
