TTH.VN - On February 25, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho had a meeting with Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori, Head of the Japanese Consulate Office in Da Nang, paying a courtesy visit and exchanging a number of issues related to the investment environment and the situation of attracting Japanese enterprises to invest in Thua Thien Hue Province.

In the spirit of promoting the friendship cooperation relationship between Thua Thien Hue Province and Japanese partners, Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori hopes that in the coming time, he will contribute to strengthening this good cooperation relationship; at the same time, he will boost the investment promotion of Japanese enterprises to explore and develop business in Thua Thien Hue Province.

Amid the complicated spreading of COVID-19 epidemic globally, Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori hopes that Thua Thien Hue Province will continue to do well the epidemic prevention as recently, well ensure the social and economic development, and soon restore tourist markets to Hue, including the number of tourists from Japan.

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho highly appreciated Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori's concern over the investment market in Hue, as well as the prevention of COVID-19 epidemic by the Province in the recent time. He confirmed that up to now, Thua Thien Hue Province has not had any cases of COVID-19 infection; however, the epidemic prevention and control work has been carried out actively, synchronously, and cautiously.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that currently, there are many Japanese FDI projects in the local area operating with a total registered capital of 30.4 million USD, mainly operating in the fields such as food processing, garment, information technology, and mechanical industry. Hopefully, in the near future, more Japanese investors will come to Hue for business investment. The areas such as supporting cooperation between the localities of Japan and Thua Thien Hue Province, promoting tourism development, heritage conservation and restoration; education and training, human resource development, etc., will continue to be strengthened and developed in the coming time.
