Belgium to continue sending art delegations to Hue Festival

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of June 8, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong had a courtesy meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam, Paul Jansen.

At the meeting, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Paul Jansen to Hue, and appreciated the increasingly effective cooperation of the two countries in general and between Belgium and Thua Thien Hue in particular in the fields of health, culture, tourism and education.

The Vice Chairman gave an overview of the province's socio-economic situation, in particular, emphasizing the province's advantages in developing tourism, commerce and services. He also wised that through the Embassy of Belgium in Viet Nam, Thua Thien Hue would continue to receive the interest, support and investment of the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium in the fields of health, education and tourism, as well as to welcome Belgian businesses to Hue.

Ambassador Paul Jansen expressed his pleasure and would want to introduce the assitance and cooperation programs of the Belgian Government with the Government of Vietnam through ODA and NGO funds, which includes Thua Thien Hue.

The Belgium Ambassador highly appreciated the works of conservation of heritage values ​​and the organization of Hue Festivals. At the same time, he said that Hue Festival is more and more professionally organized with international scale, including many unique cultural and artistic programs, representing the cultures of the 5 continents. Belgium will continue to send art delegations to the Festival and further promote Belgian tourists and businesses to Hue.
