According to an information released by the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, following a period of exterior and interior renovations to passenger carriages on Hue - Da Nang route of the “Connecting Central Heritage” train, the upgraded train will officially debut on March 26, 2026.

Hue’s elevation to a centrally-governed municipality from early 2025 has taken place in a special context: the country is undergoing a major administrative restructuring, reducing the number of provinces and cities from 63 to 34. While 52 other localities are expanding through mergers, Hue has chosen a different path - no consolidation, no expansion by aggregation, but an upgrade built on its existing identity and structural foundation.

In 2026, Hue City Museum of History aims to conduct surveys, research and upgrade 2 dossiers for nomination as special national relics, and prepare 8 new dossiers to request recognition as city-level relics.

Lotus roots that lie deeply in the mud, through hands of Hue people, are “upgraded” to become a sophisticated exquisite dish. Though far from a luxurious dish, many people are willing to cover tens of kilometers just to taste it.

Over the years, Hue University and its member institutions have ceaselessly improved and upgraded infrastructure quality to meet the needs of educational innovation following the orientation of modernization and integration.

Along with the investment in completing traffic infrastructure, lighting system and public utilities, Hue City has recently prioritized the resources to allocate investment capital to upgrade and restore communal houses, in order to contribute to the conservation and restoration of relics in the area.
