On the afternoon of August 19, the City Military Command, the Standing Agency of the City’s Steering Committee 515, completed the final handover of martyrs’ remains samples to Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. The milestone marks an important step forward in the effort to restore names to heroic martyrs.

As part of the 500-day-and-night campaign to increase efforts in the search for and collection of the remains of fallen soldiers, collect biological samples, and conduct DNA testing to identify those whose identities remain unknown, officers and soldiers of Search and Recovery Team 192 under the Hue City Military Command, together with coordinating forces, are working day and night with a strong sense of responsibility and profound gratitude. Their efforts are helping bring fallen soldiers home to their families and loved ones.

More than 16,000 martyrs’ graves in cemeteries across the city remain largely unidentified. More traces uncovered at Lieu Coc twin towers

Alongside efforts to expose the foundations of the South and North towers and the southern and northern perimeter walls, the second phase of the archaeological excavation at the Lieu Coc Twin Towers has yielded over 9.300 samples and artifact fragments. These consist mainly of architectural materials, decorative elements, stele fragments, ceramics, stoneware, terracotta objects, and bronze fragments.
