“Reading - experiencing in Hue cultural space” is an interesting activity organized by Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School in collaboration with Hue Book and Culture Club, on the morning of January 11 at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street.

That is the topic of a workshop held on the afternoon of December 7 at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street (Hue City), featuring a talk by Nguyen Chi Ngan, a lecturer from the Division of Anthropology, Archaeology, and Tourism Culture, Faculty of History, University of Sciences, Hue University. The event was organized by Hue Books and Culture Club.

On October 25, a representative from Thua Thien Hue General Library announced that the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has concluded and awarded prizes. Thua Thien Hue has won 3 prizes this year.

Compared to their peers living in Hue City and the lowlands, children in the mountainous and remote Nam Dong and A Luoi districts are at a significant disadvantage in terms of access to information technology, books, and age-appropriate publications. However, thanks to the efforts of the education sector, local authorities, and schools, the reading spaces for children in these places are increasingly being supplemented with a variety of books and periodicals, helping them have more "good friends" during their breaks or extracurricular activities.

This was what the Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang affirmed at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2023 on the afternoon of April 21 at Quoc Tu Giam.

The event included many activities such as the exhibition of books and paintings themed "Hue - April sunshine", a publication design contest "life-changing books", talks, and an introduction of historical novels about the Nguyen dynasty by the writer Tran Thuy Mai. On this occasion, a number of publishers, and authors also donated books to the Provincial General Library.

Having a home library is a wonderful thing for those who are passionate about reading. This space also helps us to relax after a stressful and tired day.

From school year 2022-2023 onwards, local education is one of the seven compulsory educational subjects and activities applied to the upper secondary level.
