Participants not only learn about the craft but also create their own finished products. Through such hands-on experiences, folk paintings are brought closer to everyday life.

40 artists, including lecturers and students from the University of Arts, the University of Sciences (Hue University), along with other painters and architects, participated in a creative program titled Sketching French Architectural Heritage and Cultural-Historical Relics in Hue.

On April 7, the Hope Foundation (FPT Group) coordinated with Nippon Paint Vietnam and the Department of Education and Training of Hue City to hold an inauguration ceremony for the “My School Makeover” project at Phu Luong Kindergarten - Dong A Campus (Phu Ho Commune).

Following its success in Hue, representative paintings by Emperor Ham Nghi will be showcased to the public in Hanoi in late April 2026.

On the afternoon of March 29, at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), the Hair Donation Day, with the message “Giving hair - Giving love”, attracted a large number of students and residents. In Bao Vinh Old Town, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Phung still carefully holds her brush each day to paint on glass, just as her family has done for generations. As most of the artisans from the old days have nearly disappeared, the hands of this woman in her fifties have become a place where a craft once closely associated with the royal art of Hue is being preserved.

During this Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the community of Hue heritage enthusiasts receive good news. That is the comeback of the once-renowned lien lang Chuon (the Chuon village decorative scroll). The journey of reviving this valuable type of folk painting, which has been lost for some time, is a long story which took not only sweat, buy also dedication of young people who love the heritage.

Offering both a fresh artistic experience and a way to preserve the vibrant emotions of spring, the workshop on paintings to hang up for Tet led by young artist Tuyet Loan at An Yen Station (Phu Xuan Ward) has become a tranquil gathering place where participants immerse themselves in radiant brushstrokes.

Alongside the famous horse paintings by renowned artist Le Ba Dang, art lovers have been able to admire many other works sharing the same horse theme on the occasion of Binh Ngo Spring 2026.

The exhibition “Memories lit by colors” by two artists, namely Hoang Dang Khanh and Tran Anh Huy, unfolds like a story of life’s memories told through painting, evoking a profound sense of emotion in viewers.

The painting street during the Hue Festival was initiated in 2010 and has now become an indispensable playground for artists in a city with a rich culture like the Ancient Capital. This is also an interesting highlight for the community during Hue Festival.

The stunningly beautiful carved images on Cuu Dinh (Nine Dynastic Urns) inside Hue Imperial City have become even more fascinating and unique as they have been transformed into wood-carved paintings by a group of experts and artists.
