Dressed in the traditional ao-dai, Professor Bui Duy Tam spoke about his passion for the ao-dai, and how he has preserved and spread this traditional cultural value during his years living far from home.

Hue Today No. 474 features a range of notable stories, including the city’s regular citizen reception program, the training of doctors for mountainous areas, ongoing DNA sampling to identify fallen soldiers, and a talk show by a professor with students on the enduring love for the ao-dai.

On the afternoon of June 23, the Phu Xuan Ward Women's Union organized a cooking competition themed “Flavours of home - Connecting through love”, attracting more than 130 participants. The event was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2026).

Born in 2003, H’La Vi Bkrông, an Ede student from Dak Lak Province, is in the final stage of her studies in English Language at the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. Choosing Hue as the place to pursue her education, La Vi brought with her not only academic aspirations but also a love of music that had been nurtured since childhood.

On the morning of June 12th, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) held the launch ceremony for Stage 2 of the 2026 “I Love My Fatherland” Journey at Ngo Mon Square.

Painter Mai Chau and the late painter Than Van Huy are two prominent figures in Hue's fine arts scene, leaving behind a legacy of works deeply imbued with Zen philosophy and a profound love for their homeland, Buddhism, and humanity. On the morning of June 5th, at Duyet Thi Duong Theater in Hue Imperial Citadel, Hue Monuments Conservation Center organized an experimental performance program titled “Practicing Huế music notation and the interpretation method,” drawing the attention of researchers, artisans, and lovers of traditional music.

On the afternoon of May 13th, the Women’s Union, in coordination with the Youth Union of Thuy Xuan Ward and sponsoring units, organized the launch ceremony for the “Kitchen of Love” model and signed a partnership program to support gas stoves for poor households, near-poor households, policy beneficiary families, and disadvantaged households in the ward.

Behind each little cake were care, creativity, and gentle skills, helping children fall in love with the family kitchen and feel proud of Hue’s culinary culture.

In addition to the thousands of books displayed across numerous booths, those attending the book fair themed “Hue of Love” will experience a variety of other exciting activities and events that span over a week.

Through learning, vivid visual experiences, and "seeing and hearing" have helped students not only understand more about Hue's heritage recognized by the world, but also foster the love for their homeland and appreciate the precious heritage and cultural values of the nation.

Within the framework of Hue Festival 2024 activities, the "Tet Hue" program celebrating the Year of the Dragon 2024 took place from February 1 to 5 (from the 22nd to 26th days of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Cat).
