Just one year after becoming the country’s sixth centrally governed municipality, Hue City has begun a new and more dynamic development journey. A series of key transport infrastructure projects have been invested in and completed, contributing to a transformation of the urban landscape and opening up numerous opportunities for local socio-economic development.

The city has undergone a process of accumulation and infrastructure investment, transforming its urban landscape. Completed urban infrastructure projects have largely met the requirements for connecting the central urban area with satellite towns, creating momentum for the city’s socio-economic development.

Hue’s transportation and urban infrastructure have undergone significant changes in recent times, with a series of large-scale key projects being invested in and implemented, opening up new connectivity spaces for the city.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), as well as the celebration of the 17th Party Congress of Hue City, term 2025 – 2030, on the morning of August 19, Hue City People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for 4 technical infrastructure projects for relocation areas and cemeteries to support land clearance for the high-speed rail project along the North-South route passing through Hue City.

To develop the city towards the sea and foster regional links, Hue City has, in addition to effectively implementing its master plans, prioritized attracting and investing in major projects to complete its infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure, from central urban areas to satellite urban areas.

With the goal of gradually improving infrastructure to pave the way for becoming a centrally-governed city, Hue City has been implementing many large-scale projects while accelerating the progress of constructions to ensure they are completed and come into operation by 2025.

Thua Thien Hue prioritizes mobilizing resources, focusing on accelerating investment in key infrastructure development projects. At the same time, the city gradually improves the investment environment to attract more large enterprises.
