Bui Hoang Dai Duong, a student at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, recently brought pride to his hometown by winning a Silver Medal at the 2025 International Biology Olympiad (IBO). Behind the glory lies a tireless journey of perseverance and overcoming challenges to reach a big dream.

Giving up a stable job in Da Nang City, Tran Huu Tri (born in 1995), from Ka Tu village, Huong Phu commune, Phuc Loc district (now part of Khe Tre commune), decided to return to his hometown to start a business with a farmstay model that combines organic farming and experiential tourism.

From April 11th - 16th, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Knowledge Management Institute (KMI) and Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Quality Association, returned to Hue for a week to devote to education and local enterprises. On October 28, Mr. Tran Xuan Vinh, Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Association of fellow-countrymen in Ho Chi Minh City said that the association held a poetry and music gala titled “Little love for Hue”, which raised 600 million VND to support community projects in hometown area.

With an excellent performance in the final match of the Road to Olympia, Vo Quang Phu Duc, a 12th grade student of Specialized Math Class No. 1 at Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, brought the laurel wreath back to his hometown, becoming the third one of the school to become the champion after Ho Ngoc Han (in 2009) and Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (in 2016). After traveling to work in various places, the couple A Viet May and A Viet Thi Mai decided to return to their hometown to invest in livestock farming and production. Their herd of pigs grew, their rice fields turned green, and the house became lively again with the sounds of family members' voices and laughter.
