In Hue, the voluntary blood donation movement has continued to spread steadily, becoming a humanitarian bright spot in the community.

On the afternoon of March 29, at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), the Hair Donation Day, with the message “Giving hair - Giving love”, attracted a large number of students and residents. The event was organized by the “One painting - Many hopes” project in collaboration with Thuan Hoa Ward Public Career Service Center, and Hue Book and Culture Club, with the support from Loan Nguyen hair salon.

On the morning of March 17th, Military Hospital 268, under the Logistics-Technical Department of Military Region 4, organized a voluntary blood donation program themed “Red Journey 2026”, attracting a large number of officers, soldiers and staff.

On the afternoon of March 13, the Youth Union of Hue City Department of Health organized a voluntary blood donation program under the theme “From White Blouses to Pink Drops of Blood”, drawing the participation of leaders and a large number of officials, civil servants, and youth union members from the health sector.

This notable figure was announced at the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Review Conference held on the morning of March 11th by the city’s Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization Steering Committee in coordination with Hue Red Cross Society.

At the end of each year, together with many medical schools across the country, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, holds the “Macchabée Festival - Gratitude to Those Who Donate Their Bodies to Science”. Held annually, the event has become a meaningful tradition for medical and pharmacy students to express their deep gratitude and respect to the “silent teachers” - those who have chosen to dedicate their bodies to the advancement of knowledge and the preservation of life.

On the morning of March 8, the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital coordinated with the Youth Union of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, and the Living Blood Bank Club of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy to organize a voluntary blood donation program.

On the morning of February 25th, the Trade Union and Youth Union of Hue Central Hospital, in coordination with the hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, organized the “White Blouse - Red Heart” voluntary blood donation program, attracting nearly 400 officials, public employees, doctors, and medical staff.

On February 24, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Quang Dien Commune, in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital, organized the 2026 Xuan Hong (Spring of Red) Festival with the theme “Donate a drop of blood - Give life a chance”.

On February 12th, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Phong Thai Ward, in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center - Hue Central Hospital, organized the 2026 Xuan Hong Blood Donation Festival under the theme “A Drop of Blood - A Gift of Life”.
