On the afternoon of July 29, the Youth Union - Student Association of the College of Hue organized the charity program ‘Compassionate Summer’ at the Long Tho Pagoda Support Center for Children with Disabilities.

After nearly a decade of sustained cooperation with Kanto International Senior High School in Tokyo, Japan, Hai Ba Trung High School in Hue City has developed a meaningful model of international exchange. Through classroom lessons, experiential activities, charity programmes and homestays in Japan, students from both countries have not only deepened their understanding of each other’s cultures but also broadened their intercultural awareness, strengthened their appreciation of cultural identity and fostered friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

On July 5, the Hue Entrepreneurs Club in Ho Chi Minh City opened the third Charity Tennis and Pickleball Tournament 2026, themed “Joining hands to support the poor, and poor and studious students”, competing for the Hue Entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City Cup.

On June 1, on the occasion of International Children's Day, the Charity and Social Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Hue City, in collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, organized the Children’s Day program 2026 for children in difficult circumstances from ethnic minority communities.

The activity was organized by Hue Central Hospital in coordination with Da Nang Charity Group for disadvantaged pediatric patients receiving treatment at the hospital on the occasion of International Children’s Day on June 1st.

On February 25th, the Social Charity Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, in coordination with the Youth Union of the Party Agencies of Hue City, the People’s Committee of Long Quang Commune, and the Long Quang Commune Youth Union, organized a Lunar New Year “lucky money” and gift-giving program for students of Thuong Quang Primary School.

On the afternoon of January 4, the volunteer program “Radiant Spring Vibe” took place at the first-floor lobby of the Oncology Center at Hue Central Hospital, creating a warm, caring atmosphere for patients undergoing treatment in the oncology department and pediatric radiotherapy unit. The charity event was jointly organized by the “One Painting - Many Hopes” project and the City Women Business Association.

As the Central region had just suffered severe floods, many young music lovers in Hue chose to organize charity concerts, donating all proceeds to support their compatriots.

On October 30, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, visited and encouraged people at a charity kitchen located at Truong An Primary School, Thuan Hoa Ward.

On the occasion of the Great Vu Lan (Ullambana) Festival of Filial Piety, the Social Charity Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City recently organized activities to present loving gifts to lonely elderly people and disadvantaged children.
