On June 19, 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1096/QD-TTg approving a project of developing Hue University of Medicine & Pharmacy Hospital to meet the standards of leading hospitals in Southeast Asia and heading towards the goal of reaching international standards.

To advance the education development goals set out in Politburo Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, National Assembly Resolution No. 248/2025/QH15, and Government Decree No. 271/2026/ND-CP on free textbooks for general education, the city’s leaders have approved a policy to provide free textbooks to all students across the city starting from the 2026-2027 academic year.

After nearly a decade of sustained cooperation with Kanto International Senior High School in Tokyo, Japan, Hai Ba Trung High School in Hue City has developed a meaningful model of international exchange. Recently, a cultural event that drew significant attention from the young people in Hue was the appearance of 26-year-old singer Nguyen Viet Hoang, better known by his stage name Mono. He is the younger brother of renowned singer Son Tung M-TP. The artist came to Hue to perform and chose Hue Imperial Citadel as the venue for the official launch of his new music video, Cong Tu Van Tho (The Literary Gentleman).

According to the Center for Investment, Trade and Business Support, Hue City People’s Committee has approved the investment policy for a project to plant large-timber forests combined with growing medicinal herbs under the forest canopy in Binh Dien Commune.
