Hue University is at a juncture of opportunity and development requirements on its journey toward becoming a National University before 2030. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Acting President of Hue University, shared with Hue Today Weekly the strategic directions and key solutions for achieving this goal.

With its strategic geographic location, logistics infrastructure, special policy mechanisms, and commitment to green development, Hue City is positioning itself to attract high-quality investment capital. In an interview with Hue Today Weekly, Mr. Ha Van Tuan, Member of Hue City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, shared the city's strategic priorities and key solutions for achieving this goal in the future.

On the evening of July 6, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to award scholarships to students and prizes to teachers who achieved outstanding results in the City-level Competition to Select Grade 12 Excellent Students in History for the 2025-2026 academic year.

On the morning of January 10, Hue City People’s Committee held an inauguration and handover ceremony for 3 houses in Khe Tre, while confirming the completion of five newly built homes and repairs to 40 others, achieving 100% coverage for eligible households across the city.

In the tourism and service development orientation of Hue City for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2045, Hue tourism aims to attract 10-12 million visitors by 2030, achieving annual growth of 18-20%, with international visitors accounting for about 45+50%. International cooperation programs in the health sector have brought practical benefits to Hue City, achieving “three goals with one action”: creating opportunities for medical staff to improve their skills; helping thousands of patients access advanced treatment techniques; and strengthening the reputation of medical institutions.
