On the afternoon of November 17, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Nguyen Tuong V., 2 years old - the recipient in the hospital’s fifth liver transplant performed entirely by its own team of doctors. This achievement marks a significant milestone, affirming the hospital’s ability to master the entire liver transplant process - from organ retrieval and liver splitting to transplantation and post-operative care.

Although hundreds of thousands of pages of Han - Nom documents have been saved, many others in the community are still deteriorating, damaged, or lost for various reasons. Faced with this challenge, Hue City Library is racing against time each day in the hope of collecting and restoring them for digitization, preservation, and value promotion. A piece of good news is that the long-term plan for this work, extending through 2030, has just been approved by Hue City People’s Committee.

This was the hospital’s second pediatric liver transplant and the third cross-country liver transplant performed by the hospital, marking another milestone in humanitarian medical achievements and extending the hope of life for children suffering from severe liver diseases.

On May 17, the Mobile Police Division of Hue City Police Department announced that three officers from the unit had promptly donated blood, successfully helping to save a patient suffering from blood cancer who was in critical condition at Hue Central Hospital.

With highly skilled personnel and modern equipment, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) has saved many difficult cases, affirming its reputation as a high-tech specialized medical center in the region.

On December 31, the Trade Union and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hue Central Hospital organized a voluntary blood donation festival themed “White Blouse, Red Heart”. 350 staff members of the unit, including doctors and nurses from various departments and centers across both units, participated in the event.

On the afternoon of November 15, the leadership of Hue Central Hospital shared that its medical team successfully saved the life of a newborn with severe jaundice and hemolysis thanks to early diagnosis and a blood exchange transfusion procedure.
