On the afternoon of March 13th, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh inspected the preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term in the communes of Khe Tre, Long Quang and Nam Dong District.

On the morning of March 10, a traditional boat racing took place on a section of the Bo River passing through the Van Cu - Nam Thanh Residential Area (Kim Tra Ward). This is one of the key highlights in the series of activities of the Ba Bun Worship Ceremony, held over two days from March 9 to 10.

Kim Tra Ward Culinary Festival took place over 2 days, March 9 and 10, at the Exhibition House of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage “Van Cu Rice Noodle Craft” (Van Cu - Nam Thanh residential area), drawing the participation of a large number of residents and visitors.

Ba Bun Worship Ceremony was officially held on the morning of March 10 at Ba Bun Shrine (Van Cu - Nam Thanh residential area, Kim Tra Ward) in a solemn and reverent atmosphere. The ritual is a traditional cultural practice that embodies the Vietnamese principle of “honor the ancestors”, expressing gratitude to the forebears who founded and passed down the rice noodle-making craft to generations of residents.

The culinary festival titled “Vietnamese Noodle Heritage - Van Cu Noodle Village” opened on the afternoon of February 18 at Van Cu Hamlet, Nam Thanh Village. This is one of the main activities to respond to the celebration of receiving the national intangible cultural heritage recognition for the “Traditional Craft - Van Cu Noodle-Making Craft”, which is scheduled to be held on February 19.

For Hue and Hue people the Thanh tra tree has been named for hundreds of years now. Over time, this speciality fruit tree is gradually degenerating and becomes weakened. Dr. La Thi Thu Hang, an expert on agriculture at University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, has succeeded in introducing “high-tech” Thanh tra trees to many gardeners in Hue.

On the afternoon of May 7th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the provincial Party Committee, held a working session with Mar6 Studios Co., Ltd. regarding the film project about Empress Nam Phuong. Representatives from relevant departments and agencies also attended the meeting.

Once following a friend of mine to Hoi An (Quang Nam province), I was quite impressed with the communal house of Cam Thanh commune. From outside, the building has a bold characteristic of the image of a Vietnamese village with a row of upright areca palm trees. In particular, the structure of sturdy wooden columns and bamboo frames, and available natural materials make visitors feel close to their homeland.

Hue Nam Temple Festival (Hon Chen Temple) has just started on the morning of August 23 at Thien Tien Thanh giao Holy Place (No. 352 Chi Lang street, Hue City).
