October 11 is recognized by the United Nations as the International Day of the Girl Child, a day to honor the value and affirm the role of girls in families and society, while calling on communities to act for the safety, equality, and holistic development of girls worldwide. In Hue City, the health sector has organized many practical activities to help raise awareness and enhance the status of girls in modern life.

On July 8, the Traffic Police Department, Hue City Police reported that a task force from the unit had just used a specialized vehicle to promptly transport a young girl to the hospital.
