From mega music festivals attracting thousands of young audiences to community arts programs spreading across social media, Hue is revealing a new face as a heritage city.

As part of the Hue Festival Trade Fair 2026, the Business Matching Program between Hue City and other provinces and cities officially took place on the morning of June 13 at Hue City Cultural and Sports Square (No. 1 Ha Huy Tap St.).

On the evening of June 12, the Hue Festival Trade Fair 2026 officially opened at Hue City Culture and Sports Square.

On the evening of June 5th, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival - Region II held a public exchange and parade program for residents and visitors along major streets in Hue City.

On June 3, at Ly Tu Trong Park in Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City Department of Health, in coordination with the City’s Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, the Social Work and Child Protection Center, together with various units, organizations, and benefactors, organized the “Festival for children in special circumstances 2026”. The event aimed to provide meaningful encouragement to hundreds of children in difficult circumstances across the city on the occasion of the Action Month for Children 2026.

On the morning of May 31st, Hue City Youth and Children Center organized the opening ceremony for its 2026 summer activities program and Hue City Children’s Festival.

On the evening of May 30th, at A Luoi 2 Commune, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports officially opened the first “Mountain Ethnic Groups Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival" 2026.

As part of the celebrations for Vesak 2570 (Buddhist Era) and Hue Festival 2026, the Vegetarian Food Festival - Hue Festival 2026 officially opened on the afternoon of May 28th (the 12th day of the fourth lunar month) at the riverside area along the Perfume River. The event is jointly organized by the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City and the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2026.

On the morning of May 17th, Hue City Youth and Children Center organized the 6th Expanded Skills Festival for clubs, teams, and groups in Hue City in 2026 at the Quoc Hoc Stele Square in Thuan Hoa Ward.

While Hue Festival was previously held biennially, creating impressive “peak” moments yet remaining largely seasonal, with the model of a four-season Festival, Hue has now chosen a more sustainable direction: Turning culture and heritage into an ever-present rhythm within the city’s daily life.
