This was the first event of the National Tourism Year, held on the morning of January 1, 2025, at the Great Court of Thái Hòa Palace. The event attracted a large number of domestic and international tourists.

Hải Vân Frontier Post monument was built in 1826 during the reign of Emperor Minh Mạng, located at an elevation of 490 meters on the majestic Hải Vân Mountain. It is a military fortification and one of the most impressive fortress frontier posts in Vietnam.

Decision No. 3979/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recognized the “Van Cu noodle-making craft” being in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List under the Traditional Handicraft category. This serves as a foundation for building an intangible cultural heritage profile with a national and international vision for Bun Hue (Hue noodles) culinary heritage in the coming time.

On December 24, Korean Institute of Traditional Culture Research and ORIHERI announced that Nguyen Ngoc Phon, a 23-year-old representative from Hue (of Doan Trang Embroidery and Sewing Service & Trade Co., Ltd.), surpassed more than 2,000 contestants worldwide to secure third prize at the World Grand Prix Supreme Model Contest and Seoul Beauty Fashion Festival 2024 (World Champion Model and Beauty Fashion Festival in Seoul - Korea 2024).

Within the closing ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year - Dien Bien 2024 on the evening of December 22, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong and the leaders of Dien Bien Province handed over the flag to Thua Thien Hue Province to host the Visit Vietnam Year 2025.

The works from the contest for composing new lyrics to Hue folk tunes, paintings about Hue culture, and collections of folklore organized by the Department of Education and Training (DoET) have become valuable educational resources for implementing the local cultural education program for preschool children.

Situated on the Vietnam-China border, Bản Giốc Waterfall is renowned as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam, being the largest natural waterfall in Southeast Asia and the fourth largest in the world among waterfalls located along international borders.

On December 11, the leader of the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports announced that Thua Thien Hue has been honored as one of the top 10 localities leading the Production Attraction Index (PAI) and film production environment in Vietnam.

On December 11, representatives of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports informed that the Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced the decision to include the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Huong Tho Commune, Hue City) and Van Cu noodle-making craft (Huong Toan Commune, Huong Tra Town) in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The photo exhibition themed “Life of the lotus” by Nguyen Khoa Huy, the photographer, is being displayed at Hue City Center for Culture, Information and Sports (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), from November 26 to December 10, 2024.

That is the topic of a workshop held on the afternoon of December 7 at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street (Hue City), featuring a talk by Nguyen Chi Ngan, a lecturer from the Division of Anthropology, Archaeology, and Tourism Culture, Faculty of History, University of Sciences, Hue University. The event was organized by Hue Books and Culture Club.

Taking place from November 26 to December 10, 2024, the 'Lotus Life' Exhibition showcases 50 selected pieces from 160 lotus-themed photographs captured over 7 years by the photographer Nguyễn Khoa Huy.

After three years of preservation and comprehensive restoration, the Thai Hoa Palace (located within Hue Imperial Citadel), the site of the coronation ceremonies for 13 emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty and the venue for the most important court rituals, was inaugurated on the occasion of Vietnam's Cultural Heritage Day on November 23rd.

Nearly 200 years after Emperor Minh Mang ordered their creation, with the successful casting of the Nine Dynastic Urns in 1837, the value of this national treasure has transcended national and historical boundaries, rightfully earning its place as a world heritage.

After more than 150 years of existence, many parts of this historical site have degraded significantly. The provincial People's Committee has allocated over 99 billion VND from the budget for the restoration and preservation of the site. The project will begin in April 2024 and is expected to be completed by October 2027.

The "Wild Sunflower Festival - Chư Đang Ya Volcano 2024" will take place from November 6th to 12th at the Ia Gri communal longhouse area, Chư Đang Ya Volcano region, Nghĩa Hưng commune, Chư Păh district, and at Biển Hồ area in Pleiku city, featuring various cultural events and exciting experiences.
