Among Vietnamese cities, Hue stands out as an ideal city to build a future "15-Minute City." There, all daily essential needs of residents - such as work, education, shopping, healthcare, entertainment, and relaxation - can be reached within a 15-minute walk or bicycle ride. This idea is currently being pursued and researched by female architect Tran Thi Quynh Huong, a young Hue native dedicated to sustainable urban development.

To advance the education development goals set out in Politburo Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, National Assembly Resolution No. 248/2025/QH15, and Government Decree No. 271/2026/ND-CP on free textbooks for general education, the city’s leaders have approved a policy to provide free textbooks to all students across the city starting from the 2026-2027 academic year.

On the morning of February 26th, a nationwide online conference was held in Hanoi to roll out preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. Over the past few days, people from villages across Dan Dien Commune have been encouraging one another to visit the floating fish farms along the Bo River to buy fish in support of local farmers. Some families bought a few fish, others only one, but everyone said the same thing: “It’s just our way of sharing a little of their hardship”. That’s all they could do, as the recent floods had wiped out tens of tons of fish raised by families living along the Bo River.
Changing method of welcoming visitors to The To Mieu from September 9

Starting on September 9, the method of welcoming and serving visitors to the The To Mieu relic site (Hue Imperial Citadel), where the Nguyen Dynasty emperors are worshiped, will be changed. Accordingly, visitors will no longer be allowed going inside the building. Instead, they will be able to visit, explore, and offer incense from the outside.
