After a vibrant year featuring a wide array of large-scale, culturally rich programs and activities, the National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 officially came to a close with a closing ceremony combined with a special art performance on the evening of December 20, leaving lasting impressions on local residents and visitors alike.

After three days of activities, the International Tea Festival - Hue 2025 officially concluded on the evening of December 12th with a closing ceremony and the artistic performance titled “Moon Dance of Tea Blossoms”.

Not only serving as a “red address” for patriotic education, the system of heritage sites related to President Ho Chi Minh in Hue is also an attractive cultural and historical tourism destination that draws visitors.

In the tourism and service development orientation of Hue City for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2045, Hue tourism aims to attract 10-12 million visitors by 2030, achieving annual growth of 18-20%, with international visitors accounting for about 45+50%. Speaking with Hue Today Weekly, Mr. Dinh Manh Thang, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association and Chairman of Hue Tourism Association, stated that despite encouraging achievements, Hue tourism still faces issues that require bold change to achieve sustainable development.

The melancholic sound of the khen flute drifts through the mist along the mountain slopes, whispering in harmony with the babbling streams and the rhythmic clatter of looms, creating a mystical melody that captivates travelers. The village of A Luoi today bustles with visitors from afar, as the local people have learned to leverage their cultural identity for tourism. Behind these transformations are the tireless footsteps of a Pa Co woman who loves her homeland - That is Ms. Le Thi Them, the former Head of the Culture and Information Department of the former A Luoi District, now the Head of the Party Building Committee of A Luoi 1 Commune.

According to statistics, the number of visitors to Hue in the first 9 months reached nearly 5 million arrivals, witnessing an increase of nearly 63% compared to the same period. This is truly good news for Hue as the city hosts the National Tourism Year for the second time.

The exhibition titled “HER-ITAGE - Restructuring Traditional Embroidery”, held in late September, left many emotions and beautiful impressions on visitors and Hue residents with bridal gowns that carry cultural stories. At the exhibition, viewers could see firsthand the delicate, creative, and soaring carvings, inlays, and cuts of Vietnamese traditional embroidery art shown on vivid patterns of bridal gowns, including Hue royal motifs.

The culinary passport is seen as a fresh idea that turns dining experiences into highlights of a travel journey. Instead of traditional sightseeing, visitors can “stamp their taste buds” by checking in with signature dishes at each destination. This idea opens up new ways to stimulate tourism demand.

In response to the series of activities within the framework of the Autumn Festival themed “Hue in Autumn” of the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the People’s Committee of Phu Xuan Ward, is preparing a variety of exciting programs for locals and visitors. Among them, the most anticipated highlight is the Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Festival, Hue Unicorn dance performances, and the Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade through the streets in 2025.
