With special affection for Emperor Ham Nghi, Mr. Gérard Chapuis has diligently collected the emperor's paintings and searched for information in French bibliographic sources, documents, books, and newspapers related to Emperor Ham Nghi to write this book.

Hundreds of traditional folk paintings from famous villages across Vietnam, along with renowned traditional crafts of Hue, have come together by the banks of the Perfume River.

After the exhibition "Time" in 2020, the painter Le Van Nhuong is launching the exhibition "Echo" at the Diem Phung Thi Art Center - Hue Museum of Fine Arts. Still loyal to the bold and profound Hue character in each piece, the painter’s love and pride when preserving the beauty of the homeland's heritage is shown through.

The exhibition will introduce to the public the works by the musician Trinh Cong Son, including the portraits of the poet Bui Giang, the actor Pham Linh Dan, his Japanese friend Michiko and the musician's relatives. These paintings were composed over the years using various materials, such as oil paints, pastels, charcoal...

Lan Vien Co Tich located by the Perfume River still keeps many artworks by Thai Nguyen Ba (Thai Ba). His Hueish paintings of the ancient citadel, woodcarving pictures of Hue girls, and interior decor items, etc., all show the talent of the artist.
