On March 12, Hue Central Hospital announced that the 15th patient to receive a heart transplant across Vietnam has recovered. This was a complex transplant case, making the surgical procedure and post-operative care quite challenging for the doctors and medical staff.

The generation of national literary writers born in the Year of the Snake in Hue left a notable mark with many respected authors. This information was shared at the expanded Executive Committee conference of Hue City Tourism Association, which summarized the tasks of 2024 and deployed tasks for 2025, on the afternoon of January 2.

Decision No. 3979/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recognized the “Van Cu noodle-making craft” being in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List under the Traditional Handicraft category. This serves as a foundation for building an intangible cultural heritage profile with a national and international vision for Bun Hue (Hue noodles) culinary heritage in the coming time.

On December 11, representatives of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports informed that the Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced the decision to include the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Huong Tho Commune, Hue City) and Van Cu noodle-making craft (Huong Toan Commune, Huong Tra Town) in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
