A large number of locals, domestic and foreign visitors came to Thai Duong Ha Village (Hai Duong Commune, Hue City) to watch the Cau Ngu (Fish Worshipping) Festival, held by the locals on the morning of February 1 (the 11th day of the Lunar New Year).

On January 31 (the 10th of the Lunar New Year), the traditional wrestling festival of Sinh village, Phu Mau commune, Hue city attracted a large number of local people and tourists to participate and watch.

After 3-year COVID-19 hiatus, the traditional spring boat race on Vuc River at Huong Thuy town started again on the morning of January 30 (9th day of the lunar month), attracting thousands of viewers to participate and cheer.

In the early days of the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023, along with many traditional customs preserved and implemented by Quang Dien district, the custom of seeking and giving calligraphy is also the occasion to celebrate the beginning of new-year writing. This meaningful cultural beauty remains and is being preserved and handed down, showing the tradition of respecting studiousness and knowledge for many generations of the Vietnamese people.

On January 30 (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year), the traditional wrestling festival of Thu Le village (Quang Dien district) took place, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate and watch. Attending was the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho.

Marking the end of the Lunar New Year holiday, on the morning of the 7th day of Lunar New Year (January 28, 2023), Hue Monuments Conservation Center held a ceremony to lower the Neu pole and open the seal to greet the new year at The Mieu Temple and Trieu Mieu Temple - Imperial City.

According to Hue Monuments Conservation Center, during the three days of the Lunar New Year of the Cat in 2023, the Hue heritage site welcomed over 53,000 visitors on its free entrance policy.

At noon on the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year, the Bai Choi festival at Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge (Thuy Thanh commune - Huong Thuy town) was busier with players from the UK. They had interesting experiences on this folk game in the countryside…

On the morning of the second day of the Lunar New Year of the Cat (January 23), the Organizing Committee of the Spring activities in Dien Hoa Commune, Phong Dien District held the traditional Fairy Swing Festival in the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023, Hue Monuments Conservation Center organizes various cultural and artistic activities at Hue Imperial Citadel to introduce to visitors the special and unique features of the Ancient Capital’s culture on the old days and create vibrant atmosphere for the heritage area.
