During this Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the community of Hue heritage enthusiasts receive good news. That is the comeback of the once-renowned lien lang Chuon (the Chuon village decorative scroll). The journey of reviving this valuable type of folk painting, which has been lost for some time, is a long story which took not only sweat, buy also dedication of young people who love the heritage.

On the night of March 2, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations and the Hue City Writers’ Association hosted the Binh Ngo 2026 First Full Moon Poetry Night under the theme “Spring by the Huong River”, drawing a large number of writers, artists, and poetry lovers to attend.

With diligent hands and a deep-rooted love for their fields, farmers in the flood-prone commune of Phu Ho have written an inspiring story of rice, earning recognition for the rice brand of Phu Ho.

Ask the people of Hue what flower they love most, and most will likely answer: the apricot blossom. To put it more formally, “hoang mai” - yellow apricot, without a doubt. Don’t believe it? Come to Hue and see for yourself! There’s a whole movement called “Yellow apricot blossom in front of the entrance”; a completed research project on “Conservation and development of Hue’s yellow apricot variety (Hue’s Hoang mai)”; a scientific conference on developing Hue’s Hoang mai into a key local product, aimed at successfully realizing the project to build Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City) into Vietnam’s yellow apricot homeland. My friend, journalist Minh Tu, even published a book called “In front of the house stands a yellow apricot tree”, which sold out instantly, was reprinted, and translated into foreign languages to great acclaim.

The song “Tinh ca Mua xuan” (“Spring Love Song”) by Tran Hoan, set to a poem by Nguyen Loan, was born in the spring of 1979 and spread quickly in life in the early years after the reunification. Nearly half a century later, the song still resonates, becoming one of the most beloved songs about spring in the treasure of Vietnamese music.

Alongside the famous horse paintings by renowned artist Le Ba Dang, art lovers have been able to admire many other works sharing the same horse theme on the occasion of Binh Ngo Spring 2026.

From February 13th - 14th, in Hue, the Khoi Su Tu Tam Foundation (Kim Oanh Group), in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, organized its key charitable program “Gieo Xuan Season 3 2026”, along with accompanying activities such as “Happiness Sprouts” and gift presentations for disadvantaged children, patients, and members of the local Blind Association. The total budget for the series of activities was nearly 700 million VND.

On February 8, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, in coordination with Hue Central Hospital, organized the “Spring of Love” program to share support, offer encouragement, and bring a warmer Tet to disadvantaged patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.

On the morning of February 3, Hue College of Tourism (under the management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held the “Spring of Love” Festival 2026.

Behind each little cake were care, creativity, and gentle skills, helping children fall in love with the family kitchen and feel proud of Hue’s culinary culture.

On the morning of February 1, at Co.opmart Hue supermarket, Hue City Young Entrepreneurs Association, in collaboration with Hue City Cooperative Alliance and Saigon Co.op, held the opening ceremony for a Tet Fair themed “Stop by for Tet and you’ll like it - Step in and you’ll love it - Co.opmart Hue: Available on the shelf, ready to buy”.

In addition to the thousands of books displayed across numerous booths, those attending the book fair themed “Hue of Love” will experience a variety of other exciting activities and events that span over a week.

Tet is a time for families and loved ones to reunite. The celebration becomes even more meaningful with thoughtful and charming Tet gifts exchanged between family and friends.

Through learning, vivid visual experiences, and "seeing and hearing" have helped students not only understand more about Hue's heritage recognized by the world, but also foster the love for their homeland and appreciate the precious heritage and cultural values of the nation.

Within the framework of Hue Festival 2024 activities, the "Tet Hue" program celebrating the Year of the Dragon 2024 took place from February 1 to 5 (from the 22nd to 26th days of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Cat).
