On September 6, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, and Hue City People’s Committee to hold the 2026 Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum in Hue City.

On the occasion of the ‘2026 Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum’, taking place in Hue from September 5 to 6, Mr. Tran Huu Tuy Giang, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, gave Hue Today a brief interview on this issue.

On the afternoon of September 5, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, along with representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and sectors, held a meeting with delegations from Kyoto Prefecture and Nara Prefecture (Japan) on the occasion of the Vietnam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum 2026 held in Hue.

On the morning of September 5th, joining the nationwide back-to-school atmosphere, Hue City People’s Committee held the opening ceremony for the 2026–2027 academic year and inaugurated inter-level boarding schools in land-border communes.

On the evening of August 9, the Hue City People’s Committee hosted a working session with the authorities of Shizuoka City (Japan) and organized a signing ceremony for an agreement to establish friendship between the two localities.

On the afternoon of September 3rd, Hue City People's Committee worked with a delegation from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to review preparations for the implementation of the Water Environment Improvement Project – Phase 2 (Priority Area).

Rather than simply introducing familiar destinations and famous attractions in Hue, TikTokers and Facebookers (digital content creators on TikTok and Facebook) are now offering new perspectives on the city’s tourism and people through short videos and candid reviews of their experiences. This approach is bringing Hue to life on social media while giving travelers from around the world more interesting information to inspire their own experiences in the city.

On the morning of August 28, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), in collaboration with Quang Tri Province People’s Committee and Hue People’s Committee, officially launched the ‘Phong Nha - Hue Imperial City: A World Heritage Journey’ tourist train at Dong Hoi Railway Station. Later that day, Hue City welcomed the train and held a ceremony to mark its arrival.
