Having traveled through many of the world’s leading technology hubs, Albert Antoine still retains his Hue accent and a deep-seated concern for his homeland. Returning from the world of data and artificial intelligence (AI), he brings with him a different perspective on how his hometown needs to move faster, deeper, and more sustainably.

On the afternoon of February 19, at Keiser University (28 Nguyen Tri Phuong), a non-profit community event themed “Spring Awakening of Dreams: The Journey of Hue people to the World's Top 1% Universities” took place in a warm and inspiring atmosphere. The program gathered notable figures from Hue, who conquered the world's top prestigious universities, returning to engage in direct dialogue with the younger generation in their hometown.

As Lunar New Year approaches, areas around universities grow increasingly quiet. Traffic thins out, while many eateries and photocopy shops close for the holiday. Boarding houses fall silent as most students head home by the 24th or 25th day of the lunar December; those who remain are mainly from distant hometowns, working part-time, or hoping to experience Tet in a new place.

The entrepreneurial journey of Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Duong, a member of the Women’s Union of My Thuong Ward, is the result of perseverance, creativity, and belief in the value of her hometown's specialties. A traditional product has been reimagined in a new version - tailored to modern tastes while preserving the soul of Hue crystallized ginger.

Bui Hoang Dai Duong, a student at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, recently brought pride to his hometown by winning a Silver Medal at the 2025 International Biology Olympiad (IBO). Behind the glory lies a tireless journey of perseverance and overcoming challenges to reach a big dream.

Giving up a stable job in Da Nang City, Tran Huu Tri (born in 1995), from Ka Tu village, Huong Phu commune, Phuc Loc district (now part of Khe Tre commune), decided to return to his hometown to start a business with a farmstay model that combines organic farming and experiential tourism.

From April 11th - 16th, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Knowledge Management Institute (KMI) and Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Quality Association, returned to Hue for a week to devote to education and local enterprises. This marked his third return to his hometown in 2025, bringing with him a series of heartfelt, meaningful gifts.

As part of the Book and Reading Culture Day program in 2025, on April 24, Hue City Library summarized a book cover design contest about Hue with the theme “Hue City, my hometown”.

More than 200 books on Hue and the Hue Bookcase project, along with 50 entries from a book cover design contest themed “Hue City – My Hometown” by secondary school students, were on display at Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025.

Known for his many roles, Mr. Tran Si Chuong recently released the book "Conversations with Gen Z" with collaborator Nguyen Thi Diem Chau. This book is seen as "igniting the entrepreneurial spirit" for many young people in the 4.0 era. Thua Thien Hue Weekly had an engaging conversation with the Hue-born expert as he introduced his spiritual creation in his hometown.
