On the morning of February 11 (December 24th in the Year of the Snake), at the courtyard of the Thai Hoa Palace (Hue Imperial Citadel), the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre organized a reenactment of the Nguyen Dynasty’s Imperial New Year court ceremony. The event attracted large numbers of local residents and visitors, helping to recreate the traditional Lunar New Year atmosphere within the historic royal court setting.

On the evening of February 7, at Kim Long Park in front of Kim Long Communal House, Kim Long Ward People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the program “Kim Long Tet - Where Tradition Shines” 2026. The event is a hallmark community cultural activity that recreates the traditional Tet atmosphere while honoring and promoting the distinctive cultural values of Hue City - the historically rich land along the Huong River.

On August 28, 1945, the people gathered at the Hue stadium for a rally to welcome the Central Delegation, which proclaimed the nationwide triumph of the General Uprising and introduced the National Liberation Committee as the Provisional Revolutionary Government, led by Comrade Ho Chi Minh as President.

Co Ha - the famous royal garden of Hue’s Imperial Capital during the Nguyen Dynasty, has almost lost its architectural traces through time and historical events. However, thanks to the collection, digitization, and analysis of archival photos, an intact Co Ha is being revealed, truly embodying the meaning of “class”.

The year 2024 marks a series of significant milestones in the Ancient Capital. Besides the historic event of becoming a centrally-governed city, Hue is also a destination for major investors with groundbreaking and finalized mega-projects, contributing to elevating the status of the sixth centrally-governed city in the country.

Amidst the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of transitioning from the old year to the new year 2025, and celebrating the historic milestone of Hue becoming a centrally-governed municipality, on the evening of December 31, the Hue Festival Organizing Committee, Hue City People's Committee, and Carlsberg Vietnam Co., Ltd. collaborated to host the Countdown - Welcoming New Year 2025 event at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and Van Tien Dung streets.

Since 2022, the Hue Festival has been developed with a four-season orientation through a series of continuous events and festivals throughout the year, making the most of unique cultural - geographical - historical factors from royal festivals, folk festivals, religious festivals, etc.

In response to the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, on the morning of April 18, Hue Monuments Conservation Center opened the exhibition “Preserving the Historical Vestige – Discovering Tang Tho Lau (Archive Pavilion)”. Attending the event were Mr. Hoang Khanh Hung, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee.

The event included many activities such as the exhibition of books and paintings themed "Hue - April sunshine", a publication design contest "life-changing books", talks, and an introduction of historical novels about the Nguyen dynasty by the writer Tran Thuy Mai. On this occasion, a number of publishers, and authors also donated books to the Provincial General Library.
