With the theme “Vietnamese Culinary Exchange”, the Hue - Culinary Capital festival is not only an activity within the framework of the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 but also an opportunity to showcase, promote, and elevate the culinary culture.

In Da Lay commune (Da Teh district, Lam Dong province), the new homeland of the people from Hue today, it is hard to recognize the traces of the hardships from nearly half a century ago. The most recognizable feature in this rural area that carries "Hue far away" is the distinctive Hue accent, the conical hats of the elderly women glistening as they shield their kind smiles, and the lively mornings with loc and nam cakes. We arrived at the Da Lay market in the Central Highlands and felt as if we were back in Hue, enjoying street food and chatting at a corner of Dong Ba or An Cuu markets…

Along with pho, bun rieu, bun cha ca, banh canh, and others, bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodle soup) is one of the delicious Vietnamese dishes featured in the “Top 100 best soups in the world” list, recently announced by the renowned culinary website Taste Atlas.

“Hue’s fragrance”, let me use this term to describe one of the quintessential features of Hue - its aroma in the cuisine. This quintessential feature has become a deep love, a profound memory, and an unforgettable nostalgia in the hearts of countless people!

The “Hue - Mega Booming” music festival will take place at Ngo Mon Square - Hue Imperial Citadel over two nights, April 5th - 6th, 2025 (coinciding with the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day). The 6th “Hue Jogging - Running for the community” event in 2025 took place on the morning of February 16 at Phu Van Lau (Le Duan Street), attracting nearly 6,000 participants. The event featured two distances, including 5km and 10km.

On December 14, the 19th National Congress of Cardiology officially commenced, attracting 2,200 delegates and members from both domestic and international locations.
