From May 4 to 13, Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) is coordinating with the People's Committee of Hue City, Tourism Development Support Fund, Vietnam Airlines, and partners to organize a program introducing Vietnamese tourism, traditional craft villages, and cuisine, and connecting businesses on the occasion of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 in three European countries, including Italy, Switzerland, and France.

Dozens of displaying booths promoting the culture and tourism of provinces and cities across the country gathered in Hue to participate in the exhibition themed “Space for Tourism, Cultural Heritage, Landmarks, and Traditional Handicraft Products of Vietnam”.

Thousands of unique works of bonsais, orchids, and artistic ornamental stones, along with the finest crafts and traditional cultural beauty have gathered at Hue Imperial Citadel, creating a vibrant exhibition space in the heart of the heritage site.

Through investments in machinery, modernized production methods, adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, diversified designs, etc., many women have contributed to gradually elevating traditional craft products.

The culinary festival titled “Vietnamese Noodle Heritage - Van Cu Noodle Village” opened on the afternoon of February 18 at Van Cu Hamlet, Nam Thanh Village. This is one of the main activities to respond to the celebration of receiving the national intangible cultural heritage recognition for the “Traditional Craft - Van Cu Noodle-Making Craft”, which is scheduled to be held on February 19.

Zeng weaving is a traditional craft that has existed for generations among the ethnic groups in the Western part of Hue City, and is a part of the unique traditional culture of the people there... As life depends on the mountains and forests and is close to nature, each Zeng product is not only a daily item and a spiritual item, but also a work of arts in the spiritual life of the people.

The majestic and magnificent Thai Hoa Palace (in the Imperial City) has been given a “new coat,” leaving those who witness it are not only overwhelmed but also in awe of the craftsmanship of the artisans who have dedicated themselves to the restoration work over the past three years.

According to old tales, Bao Vinh blacksmithing craft (Huong Vinh Ward, Xuan Phu District) has a long history, originating from Hien Luong Village (Phong Dien Town), which was renowned for its traditional blacksmithing and ironworking.

On the afternoon of January 7, the People’s Committee of Huong Vinh Ward, Phu Xuan District held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing Bao Vinh forging craft as a traditional craft, which was awarded by Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee (Hue City People’s Committee for now).

Decision No. 3979/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recognized the “Van Cu noodle-making craft” being in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List under the Traditional Handicraft category. This serves as a foundation for building an intangible cultural heritage profile with a national and international vision for Bun Hue (Hue noodles) culinary heritage in the coming time.
