Located 5 kilometers away from the center of Hue City to the North, Duc Buu village (Huong So Ward, Hue City) specializes in producing famous specialty dumplings of the ancient capital land, including: banh beo, banh loc goi (the Vietnamese clear shrimp and pork dumpling wrapped in banana leaf), banh nam, and banh ram it, etc.

On the afternoon of April 26th, Ms. Ngo Thi Ai Huong - Vice Chairman of Huong Thuy District People's Committee, announced that the Nón lá (conical hats) of Van The (from Van The village, Thuy Thanh commune) would represent Hue's conical hats at the 9th Hue Traditional Craft Festival in 2023.

Hundreds of traditional folk paintings from famous villages across Vietnam, along with renowned traditional crafts of Hue, have come together by the banks of the Perfume River.

After 8 periods of organization, Hue Traditional Craft Festival has become a brand name with many programs and activities on an increasingly large and professional scale. However, maintaining activities after the festival is what businesses and establishments in the area expect so as to bring craft village products closer to tourists.

In order to research, evaluate the current situation and propose solutions to develop tourism products associated with craft villages, on the afternoon of December 27, the Provincial Institute for Research and Development held a workshop on “Solutions to develop tourism associated with craft villages and replicate the model to be applied to Thua Thien Hue”.
