Among many mausoleums of the Nguyen Dynasty, recognized by the UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in 1993, Emperor Gia Long's mausoleum is a magnificent painting of the coordination between nature and architecture; in which, nature is the main factor creating the grandeur of the architectural structure.

The tomb of Emperor Thieu Tri (Cu Chanh village, Thuy Bang commune, Hue City) known as Xuong Lang, is a majestic tomb complex with beautiful landscapes in Hue Ancient Capital. Over time, the structure has suffered significant damage.

Once a massive construction in the past, Phung Tien Palace inside Hue Imperial Citadel was completely destroyed after many historical upheavals. Since 2017, the complex of Phung Tien Palace has been gradually restored through a cooperation project between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany to preserve the remaining structures and revive their original shape and function.

The outdoor exhibition at Phung Tien Palace, Hue Imperial City offered viewers an opportunity to learn about the architecture, spiritual life under the Nguyen Dynasty as well as the cultural, historical and artistic values of this era through virtual reconstruction combined with reality.

On the morning of 15/11, the flood water of the Huong River at Kim Long ward reached +4.2 m, 0.7 m higher than alert level 3. The flood situation is still complex as the water level of the Huong River is forecasted to rise to +4.5m, exceeding alert level 3 by 1m, surpassing the 2022 flood peak.

On the morning of October 24, the Hue Green Hub officially launched and came into operation. For the sake of sustainable preservation of the precious heritage of the ancestors, Hue Monuments Conservation Center has organized an exhibition and conducted an opinion poll regarding Planning documents for preserving, repairing, and restoring the Complex of Hue Monuments until 2030, with a vision towards 2050.

"Studying the values of cultural landscapes of Hue heritage and the surrounding areas in order to preserve and promote the values of the Complex of Hue Monuments" is the topic of an international seminar held on August 9.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Hue Monuments Complex and 20 years of Hue royal court music being honored by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage, Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with the University of Fine Arts - Hue University organizes the exhibition "Hue royal performance through fine art" (taking place from June 16 to 26) to honor the beauty of intangible heritage.

The celebration of 30th anniversary (1993-2023) of the Complex of Hue Monuments and the 20th anniversary (2003 - 2023) of Hue Royal Court Music being honored by the UNESCO as world heritages took place during June 16-18. On this occasion, Thua Thien Hue Weekly had a conversation with Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center about the process of preserving and developing heritage.
