On the morning of December 30, Hue City Department of Home Affairs reported that in 2025, wages, bonuses, and labor relations at businesses across the city remained broadly stable. Workers’ salaries and Lunar New Year bonuses continued to rise compared to the previous year, with no cases of wage arrears recorded.

Among the approximately 70 traditional villages living on practicing crafts in Hue, the craft of making parasols is a special one. Beyond the meticulous craftsmanship required in the crafting process, this craft is also special because the finished products carry profound symbolic value in the local cultural life. Far exceeding their practical function of shielding from sun and rain, the parasols serve as markers of order, ritual, and reverence.

After a vibrant year featuring a wide array of large-scale, culturally rich programs and activities, the National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 officially came to a close with a closing ceremony combined with a special art performance on the evening of December 20, leaving lasting impressions on local residents and visitors alike.

On December 20th, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, in coordination with the Institute of International Education, organized the “European Study Abroad and Career Orientation Fair”.

On the evening of December 18, in Hue City, a ceremony was held to officially receive the national intangible cultural heritage title for folk knowledge related to Bun Bo Hue (Hue Beef Noodle Soup), alongside the opening of the International Culinary Festival “Hue - Culinary Capital”.

In the process of expanding the urban space and shaping new growth poles, Hue is racing against time to complete a series of key driving projects. Each project carries the expectation of creating a modern development space, promoting regional connectivity, and shaping a new urban landscape of Hue.

Hue City Department of Health has issued a plan to organize the “Run with People with disabilities in Hue City, 2025” program, carrying the message “Every step forward - Connecting love”.

On the afternoon of December 16th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan held a reception and working session with a delegation from Carlsberg Vietnam Trading Co., Ltd. (Carlsberg) to discuss cooperation, promote collaboration, and outline future investment development directions.
