Across the fields of Quang Dien, Hue City, there is a farmer who has quietly sowed the seeds of kindness for nearly three decades. Without fanfare or publicity, Van Sinh, 53, a resident of Tan Xuan Lai Village, has silently donated blood 86 times, bringing hope and life to dozens, perhaps hundreds, of people.

To date, Hue Sports has essentially finalized the athletes who will join the Vietnamese delegation at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand later this year, amid hopes for the most successful Games yet.

On October 5, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, in coordination with Hue City Youth Union, organized the “Supporting students to school” scholarship awarding ceremony with the theme “One aspiration - Ten thousand hearts” for 89 new students in Hue City who face difficult circumstances with strong determination.

The Co Tu people in hamlet 5, Nam Dong commune (merged from Huong Xuan, Thuong Nhat and Huong Son communes) still call Village Elder Tran Dinh Lua (72 years old) the “living treasure” of their village. To this day, he is one of the few remaining people who preserve the sacred sound of the gong that has been intertwined with generations of the Co Tu people.

In the journey to spread and preserve the value of Hue Singing (Ca Hue) for both today and the future, along with artisans, there are also music teachers in schools. They are considered as emissaries, who contribute to spreading the famous art form of Hue to students, ensuring its continuity for generations to come.

In 2005, I was fortunate to meet Dang Van Viet, a revered elder, in Hue, where he had come from Hanoi to join the 60th anniversary of the Frontline Youth School. There, I learned that he was the one who, together with a comrade, raised the red flag with the yellow star over the Phu Van Lau (Phu Van Pavilion) flagpole on August 21, 1945-when the August Revolution had yet to break out, Japanese forces were still armed, and the Nguyen dynasty still stood in the imperial capital of Hue.

On the morning of September 21st, the Association for people with Disabilities - Support for people with Disabilities and Orphans (ADSDO) held a ceremony to award coaches and athletes who achieved outstanding results at the 2025 National Championships for Athletes with Disabilities.

From September 12 to 14, the City Women’s Union, in collaboration with the Women’s Unions of Quang Dien, Phu Xuan, and Vy Da organized the forum “Listening to Children - Protecting Children in Cyberspace”, with the participation of 300 women members who have children under 16 years old.

On the afternoon of September 8, Hue Central Hospital held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Vu Quynh C. (6 years old, from Bac Ninh), who had just successfully undergone an allogeneic bone marrow transplant to treat Thalassemia. This was the hospital’s 11th Thalassemia bone marrow transplant, and notably the first case in Vietnam using marrow donated by the patient’s biological mother.

On the morning of September 5, Hue University held the opening ceremony of the academic year 2025 - 2026, welcoming 15,000 new students who have been admitted to its full-time undergraduate programs.
