In Doi village (Thuong Lo Commune, Nam Dong District), there is a special man who quietly and diligently preserves and promotes the traditional values of the Cơ Tu ethnic group. This man is Pơloong Chướch, a senior artisan who has dedicated his entire life to the craft of weaving.

When visiting A Nam village in Hong Van commune, A Luoi district, tourists will have the chance to admire the only longhouse built with the traditional style of the Pa Co people. In 2014, the longhouse was constructed thanks to the advocacy of weaving artisan Quynh Quyen, a villager of A Nam, and it has since become a symbol of solidarity among the villagers.

Luu Bao - a peaceful village located about 8 kilometers from the center of Hue City, in Huong Ho Ward, has been home to bustling rice paper kilns for three centuries.

Located 15 kilometers North of Hue City, Bao La bamboo and rattan weaving village (Quang Phu commune, Quang Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province) is a renowned traditional handicraft village.

On August 4, a traditional boat racing competition was held in Phong Hoa commune as part of a festival themed “Old Scent of the Ancient Village” in Phong Dien district in 2024.

On the afternoon of August 1st, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held a conference to review and approve the results of the provincial science and technology project "Establishing, managing, and developing a certification mark (CM) for “Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge village market” of Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town, led by the Office of Culture and Information of Huong Thuy Town.

Hundreds of thousands of Han Nom (Chinese-Nom script) document pages scattered in many villages and clans across the province have been processed and digitized in a scientific and methodical manner. Few know that this work was silently undertaken by a group of officers and experts of the Thua Thien Hue General Library. Many Han Nom documents after being digitized were also published to the surprise of the public and experts.

On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).

About 40km north of Hue City, Phuoc Tich ancient village is located in Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district. This is the second village in Vietnam to be recognized as a National Artistic Architectural Monument in 2009.

Hue people have a little joy in gathering family members, and relatives on weekends; this demonstrates the cultural beauty imbued with love. An Truyen village (Phu An commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue) is close to the city center but it still preserves the quality of a peaceful village. The fresh air of Tam Giang lagoon is a suitable choice for a sunny day.
