The Wrestling Championship, part of the 10th Hue City Sports Festival – 2026, officially opened on the morning of September 26th at the Culture and Sports Square, 1 Ha Huy Tap Street, Vy Da Ward. ​

From the skillful hands of craftsmen diligently working on unicorn heads, Earth God masks, and drums… to spectacular unicorn dance performances on competition stages and in welcoming spaces at the Imperial Citadel,… all come together to create a vibrant picture of the Mid-Autumn in the Ancient Capital, preserving the unique cultural beauty and leaving lasting impressions on visitors.

The second Sline Tennis Forum Tennis Tournament for the Sline Cup 2026 opened on the afternoon of August 6 at the Sline Tennis Center courts (Street No. 7, An Cuu City). The event is part of the Hue Sports Festival 2026 series, co-organized by the Sline Tennis Forum and the Vinh Infinity Tennis Forum.

The 2026 National Health Exercise Championship and National Health Exercise Festival officially opened on the morning of July 31 at Canh Buom Sports Arena (100 Pham Van Dong Street). The event is part of Hue Sports Festival 2026 and marks the first time Hue has hosted the national competition.

On the evening of June 5th, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival - Region II held a public exchange and parade program for residents and visitors along major streets in Hue City.

From May 29 to 31, the Bao Vinh pedestrian street in Hoa Chau Ward will be transformed into a vibrant community cultural space through the “Childhood Memories in the Heart of the Ancient Town” Festival - an event that combines heritage preservation, community tourism development, and in response to the Action Month for Children 2026.

On May 28 and 29 (corresponding to the 12th and 13th days of the Lunar April), Nguyen Dinh Chieu Pedestrian Street will be transformed into a large-scale and distinctive vegetarian culinary space for the Vegetarian Food Festival - Hue Festival 2026.

A large number of locals and visitors attending Hue Nam Temple Festival (Hon Chen Temple) joined the road procession, traveling from Thien Tien Thanh Giao Holy Place (352 Chi Lang Street) to Thuong Bac Park along the Huong River (Tran Hung Dao Street, Phu Xuan Ward).

On April 18, at Secret Affairs Institute - Tam Toa Complex (No. 33, Tong Duy Tan Street, Phu Xuan Ward), Hue Monuments Conservation Center opened the exhibition “Stories from Ancient Manuscripts.” The event responds to Hue Festival 2026 - the Summer Festival themed “The Shining Citadel” and looks ahead to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21).

In 2000, in the short piece entitled “Hue Diary,” written when he returned for the first Hue Festival, musician Trinh Cong Son wrote, “When you have a place to return, or to visit from time to time, you are very fortunate. There, you have a river, a mountain, and you can find again your old friends whose hair used to be black has now turned grey. You might suddenly meet a Hue girl on the street and ask her, ‘Is there anything new in Hue now?’ And immediately, or perhaps by chance, she will recite the two lines from a poem by Bui Giang: “Da thua xu Hue bay gio/ Van con nui Ngu ben bo song Huong” (“Yes, sir, Hue now/ Still has Ngu Mount by the Huong river…”)

The street festival themed “Cultural Colors”, within the framework of Hue International Art Festival Week 2024, attracted the participation of hundreds of artists from over 15 domestic and international art troupes and groups.

The painting street during the Hue Festival was initiated in 2010 and has now become an indispensable playground for artists in a city with a rich culture like the Ancient Capital. This is also an interesting highlight for the community during Hue Festival.
