Once a massive construction in the past, Phung Tien Palace inside Hue Imperial Citadel was completely destroyed after many historical upheavals. Since 2017, the complex of Phung Tien Palace has been gradually restored through a cooperation project between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany to preserve the remaining structures and revive their original shape and function.

On the afternoon of December 4, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong had a courtesy meeting and exchange with H.E. Shawn Steil, the Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam to promote cooperation in the fields of education and training, culture (Hue Festival), climate change tackling and environmental protection.

On the afternoon of November 21st, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a meeting with Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador of the French Republic to Vietnam, on the occasion of a working visit of the delegation to Thua Thien Hue province.

Recently there appeared in Hue many garden cafes, especially ones at ancient princes’ and princesses’ residences (Phu De.) Around a hundred years ago those houses were places for princes, princesses, mandarins and their relatives to gather on special occasions and death anniversaries.

On November 11, the Center for Knowledge Co-creation and Development Research (CKC) held the "Energy innovations" contest for students and teachers from 5 junior high schools in the area of Hue City, including Dang Van Ngu, Phu Mau, Phu Duong, Phu Thuong, and Dang Vinh junior high schools.

“Thua Thien Hue needs a survey about all the Phu De currently left in the province in terms of their locations, values, ages, architecture, conditions, etc. The survey will become a database for researching”. (Phu are princes’ residences and De are princesses’ residences in the past).

On the afternoon of November 6, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong had a courtesy meeting with Ms. Susan Burns, US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City.

Since the opening of Terminal 2 at Phu Bai International Airport in April 2023, Thua Thien Hue has been able to operate international routes, though primarily in the form of charter flights. Developing these into regular commercial flights with stable frequency requires time and appropriate solutions.

On the afternoon of October 3, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong hosted a courtesy reception and had a working session with a delegation of the Embassy of Finland to Vietnam, led by Mr. Keijo Norvanto, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Republic of Finland to Vietnam.

On the afternoon of September 15th, the delegation of Sekong Province of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, led by Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Provincial Party Secretary and Governor of Sekong Province – Mr. Leklay Sivilay, visited to meet and worked with the provincial leaders. Welcoming the delegation were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong and leaders of relevant departments, sub-department and branches.
