For the very first time, Hue City will host the Hue Wonderverse Fest 2026 - an International Music and Heritage Festival envisioned to develop into an intellectual property (IP) annual cultural and music festival of the city.

In recent years, at many festivals and events in Hue city, Phan Huy Thanh has impressed music lovers with his distinctive songs composed and sung by the musician himself, such as Non (The Conical Hat), An gi o Hue? (What to Eat in Hue), Tu dien Co do (The Ancient Capital Dictionary), etc.

Recently, a cultural event that drew significant attention from the young people in Hue was the appearance of 26-year-old singer Nguyen Viet Hoang, better known by his stage name Mono. He is the younger brother of renowned singer Son Tung M-TP. The artist came to Hue to perform and chose Hue Imperial Citadel as the venue for the official launch of his new music video, Cong Tu Van Tho (The Literary Gentleman).

More than 160 music teachers from primary schools across Hue City are participating in a training program jointly organized by Hue City Department of Culture and Sports and Hue City Department of Education and Training, which officially opened on the morning of July 8th.

On the evening of July 8th, at Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Hue City People's Committee, held the closing ceremony of the 2026 Three-Region Folk Instrumental Music and Folk Singing Festival. On the afternoon of June 30, the Hue Brass Band Club held its founding congress for the 2026 -2031 term, marking a significant milestone in consolidating its organizational structure after over 5 years of operation. It also aims to further develop the club as a distinctive cultural institution, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Hue’s brass band musical heritage.

Visitors at the Hue Singing Performance Space on Le Loi Street in Hue recently enjoyed an unexpected musical experience as the powerful rhythms of the West African Djembe blended with the familiar melodies of Hue Singing. Bringing this distinctive sound to the former imperial city was Michael Schmidt Kanté, a French musician who has spent years traveling across continents to study and perform traditional music.

The music night "Dialogue with Trinh Cong Son - Love Found," part of the Hue International Festival Week 2024, that took place last weekend, brought the audience a surge of emotions as they were immersed in the melodies of the talented Hue musician under the pouring rain.

Today, the children learned to sing the song "Teachers and Friends" written in the tune of Dang Dan Cung. Following the teacher's tapping rhythm, the cheerful lyrics and melodies of the song were paused and sung by the children in rhythm.
