“Chan May - Lang Co needs to be developed into a growth hub for industry, logistics, services and tourism in Hue City and the central region. Every decision on infrastructure investment must focus on long-term effectiveness, synchronization, and a clear roadmap, while having the capacity to create breakthroughs in socio-economic development,” Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh emphasized that at a meeting with the Department of Industry and Trade and the Management Board of Hue City Economic and Industrial Zones on August 12 to discuss infrastructure investment in economic zones, industrial parks, and industrial clusters, as well as investment attraction.

The 4th Hue Sports Festival, a sports event for community health, is taking place from July 17 to August 21. More than just a community sports festival, it is also designed to pursue broader and longer-term goals.

That was the message delivered by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, and Head of the city's National Assembly Delegation, at an investment promotion discussion between Hue City and Chinese enterprises held on the afternoon of July 29th.

A business-friendly investment climate, coupled with the city government's strong commitment to supporting enterprises, is becoming a key driver in attracting investors to choose Hue as a long-term investment destination.

On June 12th, at Hue Central Hospital, a delegation from Yokosuka Kyosai Hospital attended a working session and professional exchange as part of the long-term physician training cooperation program between the two institutions, which has been maintained for nearly a decade.

Hue has been a centrally governed municipality for more than a year, making planning adjustments subject to many new requirements. The review and adjustment of Hue’s urban master plan to 2045, with a vision toward 2065, marks a pivotal moment for the city’s future development. As Hue has recently become a centrally-run governed municipality, the planning process goes beyond merely updating technical indicators or redefining urban boundaries; it opens an opportunity to redefine a long-term development vision for one of Vietnam’s most distinctive heritage cities.

Alongside activities that support and accompany businesses and investors in accessing project information and related procedures, Hue City also places emphasis on signing memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and strategic cooperation agreements with major investors to build a foundation for long-term engagement between the government and investors.

On the afternoon of April 2nd, at the regular March meeting, Central Party Committee member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan emphasized that every policy decision must lay the foundation for long-term development. He also called for the entire system to implement solutions decisively and in a coordinated manner, striving to achieve double-digit growth in 2026.

Amid fluctuations in the global energy market and the risk of supply disruptions, especially for petroleum products, the dual approach of developing renewable energy while building a long-term fuel supply and reserve strategy has become a key requirement for Hue City to ensure sustainable growth.
